      Wednesday at HoneyRock

Last night was another evening of "Man Camp" for the Residential Camp Boys.  The Res Camp Girls are out on their overnight trips now and will be returning today.

In Advance Camp the campers are doing some Adventure Challenge activities in addition to their regular activities.  Also, some Advance campers are working on getting their masters--one more day to finish that up!  Tonight will be their final cook out together as a group.

And tomorrow is Family Day!  We hope to see you there!

Below is one classic photo from Man Camp.

12 Day Residential Camp 3 Camper Worship

Here are a few photos from Camper Worship.  This is one of the highlights of the day during the summer.  It is really fun to walk by and hear the sound of all of those campers singing!

      Wilderness Passage Arrival!

Last night around 11pm our 46 Wilderness Passage students arrived at HoneyRock.  Here are a few photos from the fire that was waiting for them at the top of Ski Hill.  Beginning this morning the groups will be heading out to the woods for their long wilderness trips!  Please be praying for them as they are beginning their Wheaton College experiences.

PirateFest was once again a great success and fun was had by all as Captain Craigbeard and his band of scurvy knaves welcomed the newest session of res camp with skits, games, and candy!

      Service Team Feature: Ronnie R.

The service team is an opportunity at HoneyRock for 11th and 12th graders to come for seven weeks and serve alongside summer staff members in everything from construction to the kitchen. I asked one of them, a girl named Ronnie, to write me a little bit about her experience. Here's what she had to say!

My time on service team at HoneyRock has been a wonderful experience. The work can be hard but it's never unbearable. Getting to know our fellow service teamers and work area leaders makes it seem less like work and more like you're doing something nice for a friend. We see each other at the best of times and the worst of times, and we're all a big family. I continue to learn new things and grow spiritually every day. Service Team is helping to shape my life and to strengthen my relationship with Christ as I walk with God at HoneyRock.
