      Chat with Hule

      by Luis Cadena

I sat down with the Rev. Hule Goddard this week to chat on his history with HoneyRock and how he's enjoying his time here. Hule has been coming to HoneyRock for 7 years, and he says what keeps him coming back is combination of three things:

First, HoneyRock, from my point of view, is one of the historic epicenters of Evangelical camping. They have a rich history of generation after geneneration of campers, counselors and students that begins to be far greater than the sum of its parts in its impact for the kingdom.

Second, I love the combination of a wilderness campus for a Christian university where the students are not only developed academically but are developed in ministry through hands-on, experiential learning. I think there are seeds where higher-ed will eventually be 25 years from now in this model.

Third, I like the quality, expertise, and the devotion to Christ of the administration and staff. In the years I've been coming it's rare to meet a lackluster leader at HoneyRock.

It's a great privilege and joy to be here to serve, teach, and train with people who are very hungry for God's word, his ways, and who are giving themselves to application. No pastor in his right mind would not love this.
