      Goodbye to Two Long-Time Friends

      Two weeks ago we said goodbye to two of HoneyRock's long-time horses: Fred the Mountain Dew drinking palomino and Virginia. Fred and Virginia had a combined tenure of 35 years of service at HoneyRock.  Many campers and students learned to ride and appreciate horses on the backs of these faithful friends.       Wow! Fred finally kicked the bucket. He's riding in high green fields, now. It was great watching new wranglers learn that Fred could take off his bridle with ease as he stood next to a fence.

      And what will Buddy do without Virginia? I guess he will finally get weaned. If Jesus has a place for horses who have served him, they will be there.

      Was the opportunity to get Fred stuffed and placed in the museum missed?
